The Tangowahine School Charter is a series of aims and objectives that reflect our aspirations and the intended development of our school in 2015 and will guide our decision making until 2017. Our School Charter is guided by the directives and philosophies of:

  • Treaty of Waitangi
  • Education Act (1962) and amendments
  • NZ Curriculum Document: Ministry of Education, 2007
  • Gifted and Talented Learners (1999) Ministry of Education, Wellington: Learning Media
  • Key and Current educational researchers

The School Vision is to equip students with the knowledge, skills and attitudes to develop their individual talents and raise their academic achievement in order to successfully continue their own education. At Tangowahine School we value:

Our learning philosophy is focused around the student’s learning and we believe it should be:
